Moore-McDonald VFW Post 8967 invites you to come celebrate our veterans this Memorial Weekend.

The Remembrance Flag will be available starting Saturday for those who wish to add the names of service members. The names of all those on the flag will be read aloud at the Flag Ceremony on Monday.

Events for the Weekend:

• Saturday, May 24
  • Noon until ?
    • $10 BBQ chicken plates
      • BBQ chicken hot off the grill with sides and fixings
  • 12:30PM
    • Shuffleboard Signup
      • $6.00 entry, Pot pays 1st & 2nd place
      • Blind draw for teams
      • Play starts at 1:00PM
  • 4:00PM (Time is tentative and subject to change)
    • The 5×5 Brewery will be on site for “Pint Night”
    • 5×5 will have special branded pint glasses on hand. Buy a pint of 5×5, keep the glass!
• Monday, May 26
  • 6:00PM
    • Flag ceremony at Beach Marker 45
    • The Remembrance flag will be on site for signing the names of past and present service members
  • 8:00PM
    • Names from the flag will be read
    • The Remembrance flag and several others will be honorably retired
